That means it's a revision of an existing model, certainly not a new model. They've had scanner revisions in the past, with suffix changes, and never tried to pass it off as a "new" model. Besides, the suffix never comes after the PRO designation, it comes after the actual catalog number, ie; 20-524, 20-524, 20-524[C], etc.

Radio Shack's web site is frequently full of errors, and miss-information. They currently have three scanners on sale, yet if you click on thier "What's On Sale" tab, at the top of the home page, no mention is made of these items. They did finally post one of the scanners that's on sale, on their home page, but no mention of the others, unless you actually go to their page.

When they discontinued their catalog, and said everything would be on their web site, I initially thought that was a great idea. But the web site is seriously lacking.

im not sure if you realize but currently at the shack we have about 700 different products on sale.... im not surprised they dont have EVERY one of them listed on the sale page. they are just highlighting a few.
I think it was a good idea to get rid of the cats. because as with all electronics things change so quickly and customers come in looking for discontinued products from a year ago.

and the parts and things, you can still get an RS catalog for them its called the "every day needs" catalog go into your local shack and insist your a scaner nut or ham freak and you order lots of adapters im sure the shackers would be more than happy to dig one of these cats. out of the back room (blow the dust from it) and hand it to you and inform you that we always have good deals on cell phones and batteries, if you need them....

Their Uniden PRO-94 was not a good scanner. They have been trying to get rid of them for the past 3 years. Next they will paint them red and call it something else.

Ya, there was nothing like wearing out that catalog all year...You could always count on it when you were bored
