HELLO ALL:
I received an update from HAHarris Corporation - Assured Communications Products, Systems and Services for Government and Commercial Customers Worldwide
-regarding a new supposedly totally inter-operable P25 and analog transceiver from Harris. It claims to seamlessly work in various juridictions where sometimes agencies in the same city cannot talk to one another...
I would appreciate feedback from Pros here, on their thoughts on this radio for monitoring. Seems to me if it is TRULY seamless, like the manufacturers claim, it would be more than a GREAT WAY to monitor. It would be revolutionary?
Note: I am not affiliated with this firm BTW, LOL
Please forgive me if I come off naive, I am basically an off the shelf scanner user, (the farthest I go is OS456) whom is interested in getting more out of his pastime-monitoring.
Is this do-able as a scanner? Thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated on this subject.
Seems to me if I could lay a grand-or even two(AND I HAVE NOT CHECKED THE PRICING FOR THIS UNIT YET, BTW) for a brand new cutting edge P25 multi freeq radio that can "handshake & play nice" with ALL/MOST major radio protocols, wouldn't it be well worth the extra money?...
OH, I JUST spoke with Rep--HOLD ON TO YOUR HAT!
PRICE IS ESTIMATED $5K
gulp!! omfg!
STILL SOME DAY THEY'LL COME DOWN.. REMEMBER THE $500 PRO 2006'S WHEN NEW?
ANY THOUGHTS OR SUGGESTIONS ON COMPARABLE RADIOS FOR THE SERIOUS SCANNERISTS, ANYONE
