Yes they switched to E a few months ago. Before that, they used it for extra duty activities..
In light of the situation in New Haven (shootings, drug importation/distribution, and the like), it's a smart move to have an "e' channel for sensitive comms. Can't always borrow comm equipment from the folks at State & Grove or CSP.
