During the cop shooting in New Haven a few days back I heard some units switching to channel 4 and they specifically said not the scan channel. Never knew of a NHPD channel 4. Anyone know anything about this. New frequency maybe?

I don't listen to new haven police, but I did notice there isa new New Haven channel added/updated in the database. Maybe that is what channel 4 is. Someone named it `New Haven Swat`.
Let's try 460.050.
Whoever updated the database omitted: 460.150 (scan) and 460.050 (Channel 4).
Furthermore, NHPD does utilize VHF for special ops and they do borrow equipment on an "as needed" basis from the folks at 600 State Street.
I have no idea where the "New Haven Swat" frequency came from. Amusing to say the least.
It was the old Housing Atth. freq. It was changed to P25 about at the end of 2019.
Perhaps I should have been clearer in my post. I was aware that it was the old housing authority frequency.
Actually those are not New Haven "city" exclusive frequencies, even though as of late, they seem to be the only users. 460.150 initially was used by any town in New Haven County for special events or as a backup if their primary system went down. So they are listed in the New Haven County section:
