New HP-2 no audio

My HP-2 has no audio as of this am, was working well yesterday.

Did all typical troubleshooting; changed batteries, checked settings, audio, weather broadcast ( typically Always broadcasting) attenuation. No audio at all. HP-2 serial number # 377Z98003480 purchased from authorized dealer Zip Scanners on May 3 2020

As an experienced 40 year scanner owner and former amateur I’m thinking a warranty trip to UNIDEN.

Try an earpiece or headphones. If you have audio, insert and remove the plug a number of times to clean the contacts.

Thanks, audio is back....... go figure

As posted scanner is less than a month old.
however I understand the external speaker jack will only power and amplified speaker per UNIDEN and my trial with a normal unamped speaker ( no go of course)
