It looks like a Diamond or similar Discone with 32" and 40" cone elements and 10 5/8" and 13 3/8" disk elements. How can this be any more of an antenna above 800MHz than a coat hanger or a beer can?

I have 3 Icom-AH7000 discones and they all give me excellent results on receiving compare to some other discnes and i cannot wait till we get them in australia and i will bebuying one straight away.
