the burn ban is lifted!!! i told everyone when the drought was going on that were gonna have hell to pay this spring, and look, 6 inches of rain down southeast, at least an inch elsewhere!!...pray for skiatook!! they lucked out last year.

yea, i always wondered when skiatook was gonna build some flood retention stuff.

good question.... the city is trying to buy out all of the residential property on the east side of town in the flood zone.

The funny thing is like 2 days before the last flood in Skiatook (couple of years ago?) A certain semi-famous Skiatook FD Captain/Paramedic was informing me on how Skiatook will never flood again like it did in the 90's b/c of the better drainage through Hominy & Bird Creeks.. :lol:
