Where are you having problems? The software is pretty strait forward.

Do you have the IF cable, RS part #20-289? Software is useless for programming the scanner without it.

I left mine on the defaults except for turning the keypad beep off and increased the amount of time the light stays on. :roll:
Upload the current settings (factory) from the scanner to Win95 and save that. Then you'll have the current settings in Win95 and will have it if things get messed up (something to fall back on if needed) then you can change it and add freqs and TG's or whatever, but then save it as a new file, that will be your working file to make changes on. Once you've added the channels/freqs you want and saved it to a new file, upload it back to the scanner, its then programmed for the freqs you want/need. Hope this helps some.

I totally agree, the best thing to do is Download from scanner (via the Scanner tab). If it doesn't work, goto Configuration,Serial port, and just keep changing ports until it works. Mine happens to be COM2 with "enable Readback" enabled.
Then, once you save it, as mentioned, the software mimics what you already have set on the scanner, and you can mess around and then Upload.
There really aren't any "new features" on the first page. The ENABLED SCAN BANKS threw me at first, but it's simply the banks you want to monitor. You could check all the boxes, and then turn them off one at a time while scanning if you desired. You'll get it in no time.
