Thanks for the response. That makes sense with the NYC system. Didn't even think of that... So it's looking like I won't be able to pick up the NJICS system from where I'm at with the RS 800 antenna?

With a handheld scanner using a rubber ducky antenna near the Queens/Nassau line? That's a tall order.

First lock out or delete the Bordentown site from the scanner so that it stops getting hung up on the frequency it shares with the NYS system, then see if it's able to receive any of the other control channels.

I just analyzed the Bordentown site and it's actually what you said. The system ID was that of the NYC 700mhz system. Thanks for the help. I'll keep fishing around my area see if I can grab the NJICS system.

Was reviewing my scanner last week and found the Verona TG on the list for Essex, confirmed they were testing EMS this morning. (At least by way of TG and what I programmed).

It appears Howell PD is using 4525 full-time now (in the clear, Phase 2). I was in Monmouth County all day today and didn't hear anything on their VHF channel but 4525 was active quite often. Can anyone closer confirm? Additionally, I was hearing them on both Wall and Bordentown. Can anyone closer confirm if they're also coming over Freehold and/or Neptune, as well? Thanks.

It looks like they just referred to 4525 as Police-1. They also mentioned a channel called EMS-2. Not sure if it's on NJICS or not.

Didn't Monmouth County build out their own 700 TRS used by several dIfferent PD's? I don't get some of the decision making.

I picked up Hamilton Township radio 1103001 affiliating to StateCom 5 Central on the Bordentown site at 10:39 tonight.

Just checked my log; heard them last Friday, the 24th @ 11 am on Wall.

Howell is now full time on the NJICS system I believe they will get 4 TGID's but that isn't confirmed. This was a better Route for Howell and their dispatchers get to keep doing what they love in Howell.

Has anyone heard anything or logged any affiliations on 4527, 4529, or 4531? I programmed these since it's likely these will be the talkgroups Howell will use if they have (at least) 4 on NJICS.

I believe they will have Patrol (Dispatch), Tactical, Administrative (encrypted), and Detectives(encrypted)

Monmouth County will not allow any municipal agency to use their system unless they sign on to be dispatched by them. Seems foolish as it would be a good revenue stream and eventually all those agencies leasing time would probably switch over to County dispatch similar to what happened in Burlington County.

I've received Howell on Wall, Freehold, and Burlington sites.

That said, it seems that the coverage of the Wall & Freehold sites into Howell are terrible. I can't even lock onto the control channels from the area of the ShopRite on Route 9.

Has anybody else had similar experiences?
