It would be nice if they posted a "radio complaint" link on the State Police web site to send in complaints on this system, something like the old QSL cards or yesteryear. audio from dispatchers is unreadable, not distorted or anything like that just so low, the cars come in fine.
I wonder if they monitor these pages.
I hear the same thing. I wondered if the patrols at highway speed must have volume control turned up the hear dispatch so as to overcome road noise and low dispatch audio. However whenever another car talks the volume level must be unbearable.

This does not seem sustainable.

Someone is always watching. But no, they're not going to take complaints or reports from Joe Public listening to his scanner, nor should they.

A few system technicians VS every dispatcher, that use different headsets, or wear headsets with the microphone too close or too far, or use a desktop mic too close or too far.

We know how that goes!! Better than the last consoles we had with the HB3 setup.

From what I saw on my Unitrunker logs today, it looks like there was a drill on USAR 2 this morning, with all the traffic encrypted.

Band opening yesterday and today (now). Permitted me to have a look see at each site in SNJ.

Nothing of interest including no new peers, except an old SmartZone freq has been added to one site.

Spotted on Neptune Site 16 858.7125 DB sub being made.

Neptune (16) equipment being relocated to new location half a mile to the north-northwest. When it comes back online, it'll be as a subsite of the Monmouth County cell (22).

Can someone in the area verify that Neptune (16) is no longer a standalone site, but is now part of Monmouth (22)? Probably should also re-check the frequencies for the Monmouth cell to see if anything has been added.

That is correct. Neptune no longer a peer of Freehold, Monmouth nor Bordentown.

Stand-by on Monmouth freqs please: No change ATT. Same (7). I will leave on AP and check later today.

Also dead peers on Freehold. DB sub made.

Yes, Neptune site 16 is off the air. I confirmed that when I drove past it on Route 18 yesterday afternoon, and is replaced by Site 22 now in its place.

Yes @kd2pm Florence station! Appreciate when the IC and participants frequently say “this is a drill”. Of course OT$ on Saturday‘s and Sunday’s in Spring and Fall always circumspect as a drill. Sign is a great idea. Sounded excellent. Ran on AP and noted this AM, “Command 2” 3761 affiliations and no grants. Clearly NJT personnel train and practice ICS management system, not so sure about some larger agencies😂.

Are any of the other NJ Transit talk groups in the clear for this agency? I noticed in the RR data base that North and South can be heard on a live stream, even though it's TE?? So I am confused how it is being streamed online. If anyone knows how its being done I would appreciate the input. Have a scanner that does the Phase II NJICS and before I input the TG's for NJ Transit, would like to know if I will actually be able to monitor these two talk groups: 3727 (TE) -North Patrol Zone and 3731 (TE) South Patrol Zone.

Well, no, the Patrol talkgroups are flagged Te indicating partial encryption. There are still some subscribers out there that aren't strapped for secure mode, and so they still come up in the clear from time to time. You are not going to hear full conversations, only snippets when those radios are transmitting.

Is there a technical reason why geographically adjacent sites wouldn't show up as a peer? I just find it weird that Site 56 (Ocean Co) isn't a peer for Site 22 (Monmouth Co) but I am attributing it to my ignorance of the technical side of things.

Could just be an oversight. Wall was an ASR and Toms River was a subsite of the Bordentown cell until recently, and so with all of the site numbering getting shuffled around and sites/subsites moving between cells, it's possible they simply never configured 22 and 56 as adjacent sites.

Just to clarify, are you going by what is in the RRDB, or by what each cell is actually broadcasting? The RRDB is probably stale and/or incomplete at this point.

Yup. Just a matter of getting those stragglers strapped and then it should be full time TE.
