New Jersey Message Board Is Up

Ok, as promised the New Jersey Message board is up at http://forums.scan-nj.com

Since we are starting from scratch with no information at all, any contribution you can add will be of great benefit to all of us.

The moderation team is being assembled, and can sort out your discussions later.

Not present on any of the existing boards is an area for upcoming events, and in progress incidents. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that enjoys talking about ongoing incidents.

Upon further thought, I have decided to ONLY focus on New Jersey, and will not cover NYC. This change will maintain what I was looking to accomplish when I started the site.

Naturally, your suggestions are welcome. I'm flexible, and the boards will ultimately become what the contributors turn it into.

If you had asked me this last week, I would have completely agreed with you. That is exactly why there was never a message board on the Scan NJ web site. I chose instead to participate, and moderate several forums on LISR as I developed the rest of my site.

However, with the demise of LISR, adding a message board to the Scan NJ web site (while unexpected), is simply another phase of it's long term development.

As for my opinion on the other boards cropping up - with so few resources to reference for New Jersey information. I personally think that a couple of additional sites with new faces and idea's behind the scenes may actually benefit all of us.

Ultimately the success or failure of the new boards will be determined by the participation level of the site's visitors.
