Greetings to all, I have been researching here and several other places around the net for all the latest and greatest scanner tech. There is certainly a great wealth of information here that will help me with the programming procedures for a BCD996XT that should be here on 4/22/2014! I'm new to the high tech world of scanners, but not a newbie to the joys of listening to scanners, I have a Pro 2005 and a Pro 34 that has worked flawlessly throughout the years. I'm not much worried about the, talked about, "learning curve" that comes with this scanner, usually with all new technology there is always some type of challenge. That said, we all the info on this site, I welcome that challenge!

Welcome to RR. Text underlined and in blue are links.

The Easier-to-Read Manual will help out a lot. Download FreeScan and get a Premium Membership then you can easily download the programming from RR and send it to your scanner.

Don't get overwhelmed. Most of the features you will probably never use. Especially read up on "Quick Keys".
