The P25 side is definitely more muffled than the EDACS side, so unless I don't have an EDACS ESK scanner I would stick with the EDACS side for now. I'm sure it will improve if/when they change over to P25.

62 just showed up for transmissions on channel 3, so my guess is that those low IDs are linked to the SAID patch talk groups used when they patch EDACS talk groups together.

I did get to talk to a Lakewood PD Deputy and he told me that the radios are switching over soon but he wouldn't tell me anything more.

Is it just me, or does 854.5375 seem to be off the air? The strange thing is that the control channel still tries to direct the scanner to 854.5375 for some transmissions, but there's never anything on it. It's like the system doesn't know the 854.5375 repeater isn't working.

I'm seeing this problem with both a 396XT and PRO-2096, and I think it's been going on for some time.

It looks like 854.5375 is on the air, but it's signal strength is significantly weaker than the other channels. It was weak enough that it couldn't be heard inside the building. Outside the building here in Lakewood, 854.5375 is about half scale, while the rest of the channels are full scale.

They are still playing and testing out the system. When all is said and done you can expect all the public safety side to be on this system and the City(s) services to be on the other system.

854.5375 has a good signal now, so they must have corrected whatever issue they had.

Just hearing the Radio Testers on TG 1003 and it's encrypted.. Had to go back to page 2 on post #37 same as there. So nothing new.

Can you correlate any of this traffic with existing EDACS talk groups?

When I began listening closely this 'test' ended. May have only been a test but they are the four main LPD dispatch channels according to the traffic I heard.
Can you correlate any of this traffic with existing EDACS talk groups?

Okay, then it's probably related to the patched talk groups that I referenced earlier in this thread.
