Just sharing withthe group that MAHA has a new line of batteries called Imedion - they claim to hold 85% charge after a year of storage.

$13.95 for a 2100 mAh 4-pack, I ordered two packs today and they emailed to say they will have them in to ship on Wed or Thurs.

I sure won't miss changing the batts in my handhelds only to find the replacments have gone flat too. Worth every cent just to cut down on charging.

(I don't work for or have any afiiliation with MAHA, just passing on info)

$13.95 PLUS shipping? That's highway robbery! Walmart has 2100mAH Ray-O-Vac Hybrids (same technology) for under $9 for 4. They also have 4 Eneloops with charger for under $20.

You're saying that they will hold 85% charge for a year of storage? Or even for a month or so?

I have Ray-O-Vacs, had Energizers and they are dead flat or greatly decreased after even a few weeks of storage along with my PowerEx and various other brands.

If $13.95 plus shipping gets 85% charge after a year or more realistically even a few months then it's a lot cheaper than the many cycles of recharging and being able to depend on them to work is worth it to me.

Plus if you're not having to recharge them as much after running down in storage it's easier on the batteries and it would seem they will last longer. Maybe not worth it if you use them more but if you have periods of storing them I don;t see how it wouldn't be well worth it.

Anyway $9 vs $13 is a long way from highway robbery and MAHA has outperformed any others I've used.

Don't take my word for it. Go to Walmart and read the package. They are Ray-O-Vac HYBRID - not plain Ray-O-Vac.
And it's $13.95 plus shipping. That's a lot more than just $9 vs $13.

MaHa is no big deal. They're probably all made in China - maybe even in the same factory.

Ok - all I was doing was sharing the info, I'm sure there are other choices. The Ray-O-Vac hybirds are flat for me after a few weeks. Maybe mine are defective but I wasn't impressed.
It's good to know other options though.

This is the new NiMH battery technology and it does work. The Ray-O-Vacs hold their charge great for me. I think you will see more and more of these in the future. Right now, the ones I've seen are only 2100 mAh rating, so if you want higher capacity the older type MiMH may be better. But these are great for cameras or other devices where you need them charged ater sitting unused for some time. Wal Mart also has the Kodak brand of these batteries for less than $8 per 4-pack.

Good to know - mine must either be bad or my charger is not doing the job. I thought it was odd my batts were all flat after so little time. I haven't been to WalMart in ages - maybe time to find one and go!

Thomas Distributing has the same batteries as an intro special for $9.87/4pk, expires 11/15. (Of course that also is 'plus shipping'.)
