I heard no activity all day today and then after 6pm someone used talkgroup 1 to do a couple audible voice tests between two different radios or consoles (1004 and 1005 radio ids)

They've either turned another simulcast site on or the power up, I am getting a way better signal from my apartment

Testing 1,2,3,4 countdowns on 10407 and 11517...the system has been pretty quiet other than occasional countdown tests...radio id noted 1005

All I have seen is testing so far, the old system has also always been hit or miss when receiving it for me

i've always gotten it pretty good at my house. I don't monitor it a lot, but the last time I heard it was that night we had the snow a few weeks ago.

after scanning the old system all day I just got a very weak signal on the N/S trains talkgroup. i'm wondering if a tower to the old system has been shut off, but hard to know as an outsider except that something changed

I am still hearing the usual activity on the old system from midtown, but I agree it appears to sound a lot weaker.

New system is not in service yet...voice tests on various talkgroups stage still...they have also tested emergency button on some...they have also done some LIMITED secure voice testing on one specific talkgroup...there have also been a couple transmissions (a few MPD to rail control calls) that the PD user accidentally transmitted on the new system before they realized they were on the wrong zone and presume went back to the old system.

TDMA CC isn't supported on MSI systems yet, and no, no plans to.
