Hello everybody, I just resurrected my Realistic Pro-34 scanner from storage to start to monitor the VHF Marine channels. I got that set up and working and I get great reception from my house with the standard antenna so I am very pleased with that. I don't get a lot of the boat transmissions but the Coast Guard comes in loud and clear (must be a slang term for that?). We are about 25 feet above sea level (pretty high around here) and just a few hundred yards from the Gulf of Mexico, just north of Tampa.

Question: Any other frequencies that are interesting for Marine monitoring? Located near Tampa, I see the Pinellas County sheriff has a few boats as does the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Anyone familiar with how I can locate those frequencies? Any help appreciated.
