Hi folks!
I recently got my Technician class license. I have been working as a technician for a small Motorola dealer in the southwest US, mostly doing bench repairs of older model radios (CP200, MaxTracs, MTS2000, HT1000, etc) and setting up / upgrading repeaters. I do enjoy making old broken stuff work again. We also do newer Mototrbo stuff as well, so I have dabbled in digital.
I'd like to thank all of the members here for the wealth of knowledge. I've been lurking here for a few years and while I have never posted, many of my questions have been answered just by searching. So, Thanks to you all!
Speaking of getting old stuff working again, my boss gave me a Kenwood TW-4000A dual band radio for my truck, so I will gather what I need to get it installed. I am really looking forward to talking to fellow amateur radio operators. I did have a CB installed a few years ago, but quickly got tired of the garbage talk on the public frequencies.
Looking forward to talking to you all!
