Hi all,

Just intro to all on myself,

I live in the Sydney (Penrith area) and use a BC245XLT.

I am a Permanent Firefighter, NSWFB with over 15yrs service & volunteer with the Blue Mtns RFS.

The NSWFB sends me out to country areas about once a year for a month and I take may scanner with me.

I travel between Sydney Albury and Moree about twice a year for family and the scanner goes as well.

I am after any info on Digital/Tranking Scanners, as I am looking at up-grading my 245 in the next 6 months to either the Pro-96 or a Uniden Digital/Tranking hand held Scanner.

I will try to help out with any info I can.

This is the hardest ? there is. I have been trying to decide for about 4 months. If you go to the scanning forum, there is a great comparison post that a member provided. Even at that, I have not decided yet. $500 is A LOT of money for me. You have found a great website for the hobby! If you do enjoy this site, send the webmaster a SMALL amount of $$ to keep this site up and running.
