What TG are you hearing them on? If I am reading the t/g info correctly the ones that I would think to try and listen to are showing as encrypted in the listing.

Jeff, "RAPTOR" was on Monroe County Sheriff Dispatch talkgroup, and was not encrypted. Also no other talkgroups except "SRT 1" are encrypted, but they are not even using that talkgroup as of yet.(oops sorry this is for the Monroe County System)

Thanks for the info, Eric. When I was looking at the talk group listing in the database, it had "E" as the type. Was I wrong in thinking that it was for encrypted traffic?

Jeff, absolutly not! The SRT talkgroup is encrypted, but the Sheriff dept Command is not. The only talkgroup at this point that has even hinted at encryption has been the Special Response Team. For now all other monroe county talkgroups are just digital, not encrypted!

Have you heard any activity off of any towers outside of Monroe County? I am able to hear Northville (T0206) but haven't heard much.

Yes, I hear them off of the Flat Rock Tower. I can hear the Dundee tower but I cannot decode it, even with a 12 dbi 7 element yagi!! I have noticed also that I do not hear all the talkgroups off of the Flat Rock tower though. I think most of the talkgroups are forced to only use the Monroe County Simulcast, where the Dispatch(police and fire) are allowed to affilliate with other towers.

Nope, 868.9000 is the control channel for all 4 towers. Hense why it is called a SIMULCASTED SYSTEM, all traffic goes off all of the towers at the same time!
