Hey Guys,

Hope everyone heard the manhunt today for the code 5 suspects, couldn't get away from my scanner. The state's Air-One was up in east montgomery searching. Im not sure if this TG has been recorded, it hadn't been previously on my scanner, but it was 610. On MPD channel 1, after the search lasted quite a while the dispatcher told all units to switch to MA channel(something ive never heard of), discouraged thinking i wouldnt be able to listen for all the pro-voice, turns out 610 was it, and was heard loud and clear. Air-one was opperating on it, SO, and MPD. Im guessing(un-educated) that the channel stands for Montgomery Area. It was just a first and im thinking it is a channel that all the agencies are able to communicate on. Also when the officers were asked to switch to that channel the supervisor sent them instructions on how to switch over their MDT's. Sounds like a first to me. It was real interesting.

If anyone has anything else to add to this lengthy post, please do so.
Also adding to the TG 1331, i also heard the tg, and it was a UC drug sting. Sounds like Special Ops, was real surprised to hear it, was a first and probably will be the last.

Yep I listened in for an hour or so today, being that I live right in the permimeter they set up. It was pretty wild, the chopper circling (later saw a prop aircraft circling, don't know if its law enforcement or what), several marked and unmarked police vehicles riding and positioned in various parking lots and fields. Pretty wild!

610 was pretty awesome. I'll assume its analog so SO can join in as well, makes sense.

Interesting morning/afternoon :)

The TG 610 you guys were listening to was one of the Mutual Aid groups set up for interoperability reasons. It is MA 1. There are 3 more. MA 4 is GID 799 that has been mentioned before, and is used some for security at the Biscuits home games at Riverwalk Stadium. All 4 TGs are analog to insure interop with the other agencies that have them.

I heard reference to the DPS heliocopter putting "736 into our receiver" during a joint DPS/MSO training exercise. I wonder if that is another MA talkgroup?

798 is a patch from 155.010, so that may be another candidate?
