The WACN-SID 1490E-CFF translates to CKX761 using Eric Carlson's P25 WACN/SID to Callsign Converter and that license is identified as a protected license in the area of Montreal. This seems to mesh with your data that it is SPVM.

0000A-00A ... interesting. Two other systems in the RRDB have this WACN/SID combination. Saskatchewan's Provincial Public Safety Telecommunications Network (PPSTN), a provincewide Phase I system, in heavy use across Saskatchewan; and "Unidentified Federal Project 25 System" claims to have sites in New Mexico and Virginia.

Hello,

Doing some more research, the 1490E-CFF system is the new SÉRAM system for SPVM and other emergency services.

The 0000A-00A system is interested. There is no activity, but all these alternate control channels are defined.

Hi,

This system is the new iBus system, owned by the STM (Société de Transport de Montréal).
The busses are still on their old EDACS system, but they will begin to use the new one before the end of the year.

This is the standard default for all Harris Radio trunking systems. It's up to the system administrator to program a unique system ID, and WACN for their TRS. Hopefully, they will do this in the coming weeks.

Hello,

They've finally done it, eh? Montreal PD/FD/EMS goes through radio systems like some people go through iPhones. I must say, though, that the PD has only actually been on 2 systems in the last 30+ years. For EMS, this will be the fourth since 1981 and for the FD, the 4th (I think) in about the same time.

What a great place to be in radio system sales! :-D

Good I have a BCD436HP for the next visit ...
