New Oakland 800 License: Public Safety National Plan

Oakland has a new license for two frequencies in the 800MHz Public Safety National Plan. The license includes (2) FB2T temporary repeaters.

Interesting on the temporary analog repeaters and vehicular repeater.

Oakland PD has used crossband repeaters for years on UHF into their VHF low system. Not surprising they would use them now with being on NJICS.

There's no indication that they're setting up any sort of crossband to NJICS. What it looks like to me is that they're licensing two mobile repeaters for temporary use within their jurisdiction, probably as a dedicated off-network channel for large incidents or special events, so as not to tie up their NJICS talkgroup. As was mentioned by @RadioDitch in the other thread, they recently acquired two mobile command centers.

As @GTR8000 noted, I believe the OEM recently purchased a new command vehicle, and I know Oakland PD purchased one in the form of an LDV Custom Ford Step-Van.
