I do have ALCO NW Simulcast on my 436 Favorites List, and it comes in very well.
Looking forward to the switch...

It appears that OPD is constantly adding and swapping TGIDs. I notice that one night a particular talk group will be assigned a new TGID an the next night it is switched to another...
Does anyone know why they do this? I notice this because on my other scanner I have it set to search mode.

speaking of Oakland. I'm hearing Patrol 1 now on 65501. Also a few other new 65XXX TGIDs. anyone else?

The 65xxx talkgroups are patch TGs (for when they patch Patrol 1 & 2, etc.). They are created on an on-demand basis and can change from day to day. Most scanners will still be able to follow traffic with only the 31xxx talkgroups programmed.

Update

Fleetmapping is scheduled to be completed in September. New consoles then need to be installed at the Oakland and Piedmont dispatch centers, with cutover to EBRCSA scheduled for March 2016.

I have Oakland PD programmed to monitor but I am not picking them up is there something special that must be done? I just selected the frequency on this website on Sentinel Program.

Are you talking about on EBRCS, or their current system?

The current system is horrible and I don't think many have been successful in monitoring them, even the officers. If you can't pick them up, you're not alone. Its the design of the system

I think it should be called the Oakland encryption system, it works so good that it when it is not even turned on their own radios still can't break it.

Really? Thanks for that info. I know Oakland is hopping but I always wondered why I never could pick them up even when I am in the area via car. Must be the whole system fire and police.

I get Alameda.
