RadioFeed 1.6 Released

This version has two fixes that may seem small but I think are important.

RadioFeed 1.6 is available at the ProScan web site on the right side of the page.
  • Fixed - Source Client - Wasn't sending stream name to the RadioReference server effecting the way the stream name was appearing in the media player.
  • Fixed - Source Client - Possible disconnects caused by retrieving the current listeners count under certain conditions.
RadioFeed streams audio to RadioReference, Icecast, and ShoutCast servers using the Source Client feature or directly to media players using the Web Server feature.

Version 1.6 is no longer reporting the number of listeners connected to a shoutcast server. After being connected for 12 minutes with the new version, it is still reading 0 listeners. However when I go to my stream page it shows the correct number of listeners.

This is fixed in 1.7 which is available now.

RadioFeed newer version 1.8

RadioFeed 1.8 is here. It's a no cost solution.
  • Fixed - Source Client - Current listener count.
  • Added - Source Client / Web Server - Broadcast Lockout frequencies and talk group ID's option.
  • Many more small improvements.
No known bugs at this time.

Available at http://www.proscan.org on the right side of the page.

RadioFeed is a combination Source Client and Web Server.
The Source Client streams to RadioReference, IceCast, and ShoutCast servers. The Web Server serves a web page and audio.

Radio Feed has been a godsend to me. It replaced SimpleCast which required a reboot every few days or it would just lose its cookies. Plus, I had to use Gordon's Talkgroup Monitor since it is a lowly BC780 scanner and ScannerCast does not pull tags from that old beast.

So far, so good after a couple months of Radio Feed. Thanks a million!

Have you been approved for a feed?

Read the section on the Web Server.
RadioFeed Setup Instructions - The RadioReference Wiki

It's best to get the server going on a internal network first.

Advise if you have problems. Email is the best way.

No i haven't applied as i don't think i would be approved as there is already a feed for this area. Only thing is it would be only one channel not scanning.

Thanks i will see how i go.

Give it a shot, I run a feed and another person put up a feed that has almost the exact same thing, they just removed a few channels. This is more about what you like to listen to not about competition between feeds.

Tags Issue With Version 1.8?

Anybody having issues with Tags not working on the just released 1.8 version of Radio Feed? Reason I ask is that I no longer see Tags being streamed from my PSR-600 since upgrading from 1.7 to 1.8. \

FYI - When I revert back to version 1.7, Tags stream again properly

I am aware of the problem and will be fixing it this week.
