(The Clark County Commissioners approved the transfer of the Clark County EMS contract to Yellow Ambulance on Monday to provide emergency medical services.
Staff from fire departments from around the county gathered to discuss how EMS services might change, and to express their opinions regarding the transition.
Commissioners also extended EMS contracts with the Utica Township Fire Department, Yellow Ambulance in Jeffersonville and the Clark County EMS to May 2012. An extension of the Sellersburg-based emergency service provider’s 2003 contract was essential to facilitate the sale to Yellow Ambulance, which, if contract conditions are agreed upon, will begin providing EMS services throughout the county areas when the sale is finalized.)
