There appears to be some confusion by listeners about some Onondaga LE TGs being renamed. That fact is that new TGs are being created to merge redundant TGs used by separate departments and create common Interop channels. These new TGs are patched to existing TGs until the conversion is complete. This has been ongoing for some time and we have been advised it will continue and old TGs will remain active until all radios have been updated.
Please use care in RRDB submissions claiming existing TGs have been renamed or repurposed. The existing names will remain as long as the TG is still active in some radios. I just had to undo a submitted change to an existing TG. Since these patches are temporary I do not plan to add patch info on any future submissions for the new or old TGs.
I hope to be able to delete the old TGs when they are retired but I am not sure this information will be readily available.
