Maybe Stoners Creek.

There was an article in the Burlington Post about how Halton, Hamilton, RCMP and the OPP are going to be taking turns policing the highways. They also made mention that the RCMP have a office in S.Creek.

Hmm it could be. I drove across Hamilton today coming back from the east end. I monitored Site 35 from Main and Kennilworth across to King and the 403 and the signal the whole trip across the city was a solid 5 bars.

Site 34

Watching Site 34 (421.375) with as strong a signal strength as any other receivable here near Milton. No peers reported yet. I don't see it in the database.

I'm here a lot
Hi Matt and ATC,
I'm also getting this site 34 in NW Toronto.
The site NAC is 134 which is varies from the 366-369 series site NAC's for the Toronto/York area.

Site # 35 is a perfect signal here in Aldershot, much "cleaner" than the HRPS signal on Lakeshore and Torrence & Hamiltons signal.

The NAC is 135, site ID 035, WACN8D45F

Maybe it is on the Escarpment near me? :)

421.3750 is very weak, but I am facing west and have a poor signal towards the GTA.

On my Pro 2045 I can get 421.5000 barely.

I plan to pay attention to this new system this week. Maybe I will score a "find"

Here in Milton site 35 is barely moving the meters on the R7000s and using the cheap-o SDR dongle it will not decode. By comparison, Toronto West is about S-3, Airway Centre S-2 to S-3, while site 34 is nearly S-5. The SDR# spectrum reflects those same relative levels, with 421.375 being about the strongest in the 421-423 span (of RCMP signals).

Based on your reports of weak signal both to my south and southeast, I'm wondering if it's north of me, maybe near the top end of Halton County? It's certainly near if not the strongest in overall signal strength out here, given differences in elevations and distances that we don't know just yet.

It's worth the drive to Acton. Well, perhaps not. <g>

I wouldn't expect to find much. I haven't heard any clear voice what so ever since the very early days of radio testing on the London sites.

Site 34 now indicating peers as sites 24, 28 & 35. With 24 being Toronto south, 35 presumably Hamilton (and barely detectable from here) and 28 unknown (and also not detectable here) could 34 be across the lake from me, maybe Grimsby, Fonthill or east towards St. Catherines perhaps.....?

EDIT: Add voice channel 421.6125

I have been watching the site with Unitrunker for Half an Hour and this is what I collected, it's very interesting, I was also listening to the system with my 396t but ID 601 kept flashing ENC = encrypted

I don't think Site 34 is on the southern side of the lake. I can hear the CC clearly across the QEW from the east side of the Hammer out to Oakville on a stock antenna. I was thinking that Site 28 could be on the south shore of the lake.

Also I just saw TG 517 come up on Site 35 encrypted.
