There's a CC active now on 866.2500 with NAC 8B0, network ID 8B1 WACN=BEE00. According to RR DB it belongs to Laval Que. PD. Wonder what the story is there.

8B1 and 8B0

Yes, I can receive that......
Now Unitrunker is reporting this as 8B1 not 8B0 don't know why.

Will have to keep an eye on this.

8B0 and 8B1 would mean there is more than one site... for example Toronto is 3C2 but the site numbers are 3C5, 3C6, 3C7 etc..

Interesting, though recently the 866.2500 CC was showing as Site Trunking so not reporting
any neighbours...and couldn't copy any of the others very well for a few reasons (including the
PSR-600's bad front end on that band).

These new CC's do not "sound" like the Harris CC's on the Ottawa system so unlikely
they are related. Who else is due for a new system like this, is the question to answer...

Now I can hear three CC's on 866.2500, 866.3000, and 866.3625 and last night there were test signals on 866.7750, 866.8000, and 866.8625 (which don't decode as P25, I believe special data patterns used for testing).

So, still no ideas who this is for...?

EDIT: Looks like all encryption.

You can't depend on Unitrunker to always correctly show the CC frequencies. 866.7750 and 866.9250 appear to be voice channels. Maybe they were CC's at one point but I never noticed that.As of last night there were four CCs on 866.2500, 866.2750, 866.3000, and 866.3625, with test signals on 866.6750, 866.7750, 866.8000, and 866.8625.

If Unitrunker reports encryption I think it may be because is can't decode the voice-channel test patterns; but it may well be in the end. Hard to believe nobody knows what this, maybe just not saying...
