New P25 TDMA Phase 2

Regarding the Portland system, I've seen more activity on this system lately and have not hears anything new about it.
The only channel ive been able to see is TGID 571 however it or any other channel I've seen says encrypted.

Does anyone know if they plan to go encrypted once its live?

From what I've heard, pretty much anything on the 700 MHz side of the system will be encrypted. I have occasionally run into the Portland radio techs using the system in the clear, but all other users are strapped for secure mode.

And I've only seen phase I P25 activity so far, no phase II.

I have a BCD436HP. How should I program the Portland P25 system? The database says its P25 X2-TDMA. Is it really X2-TDMA or should I program it as P25 standard (P25 Phase I and II)? I only ask because with the x36HP radios P25 Phase 1 and 2 are considered separate from X2-TDMA.

I asked the techs recently if they planned to go encrypted on the main public safety dispatch nets on the new system and they said no.

What the plan with current Portland 800mhz system? Is this going to be 700\800mhz system?
