Hi all on my agency issued apx6000 I'm showing a new site with a site I'd of 12. My radios says "site 12" then the rssi. My radio reports a rssi of 30 in the north columbia/irmo area.

I don't see a site 12 listed as a neighbor to Lexington or Richland sites.
Lexington is broadcasting an unidentified neighboring site 2-90 with control 772.98125. The only FCC license I see for this frequency is in Gaffney/Cherokee County.

Anyone in the Gaffney area able to confirm if there is a new active site there with CC 772.98125? Brian is it showing as a neighbor to any Spartanburg area sites?

Yes, I do see a site 2-90 as a neighbor site to the Spartanburg site with a control channel of 772.98125.

I added this site to the database. Seems a little bit of an odd choice for location for a new site, given that word is that Cherokee County agencies are going with Fleettalk as a radio platform, and not Palmetto 800. I guess this provides better coverage in the southern and eastern parts of Cherokee County along with northern Union and western York counties.

Brian and Evan is their any way yall can fix the fcc callsighn link for the palmetto 800 sites. Only the site locations report is working and does not show all sites.

We sure can. FCC licenses seem to change somewhat frequently, and it's tough to identify those changes if one isn't really looking for them. You can post changes here or submit them through the submission page, either way. It's a simple task. Also, let me know which sites aren't showing on the site report.

Remember that individual tower sites of a simulcast site won't show on the Site Location page. There should be one pin on that map for each site entry on the database page. So for example, even though the Lexington site has 5 or more tower sites, only one pin for that site will show on the site location map. The FCC location report should show all of the tower site locations, assuming the FCC license list is accurate for each site.

I'm drawing a distinction between "sites" (in the RR database sense) and "towers" or transmitter locations (in the FCC license sense).

I may have been too quick to add the new Gaffney site to the database. I see it as a neighbor to multiple sites in the Upstate, but it can't receive it from my location. It may not be on the air yet, or maybe it's not where we think it is.

Interestingly, I did find a site 12 (2--12) on the air on 774.88125. Turns out that's the new Chester County Simulcast site. @mrat1234 you were correct. I have added it to the database. The old Chester County site 2-85 appears to be off the air, but that needs to be confirmed. It's showing as "Failed Isolated" in DSD+.

Any info on Site 2-90 is welcome.

Brian I just submitted a correction for the 2 85 site to be renamed just Chester cause it was originally planed to be the simulcast site but then they decided to just create a new cell. I will check if 2 85 is online this weekend when I visit Chester

It'll be the weekend before I can hook up my SDS 200 and manually program the new Gaffney site in, but I will check it out and report back. Will that flow to the SDS Database updates on Sunday night, or do they pick up updates on a delay? This is honestly the first time I've ever actually looked for an update to be added to their database when it occurred.

I can't say for certain, but I think the next Uniden update should have the new sites included. You can always program it manually also.

Just to let everyone know. Chester county Fire/Ems are now on palmetto 800. The Ems talkgroups in the database are actually Fire/Ems talkgroups as they have been combined together on the new system. I have made a submission to label them Fire/Ems.

I can confirm no activity on those frequencies as of my check today. If the location is anywhere near the plotted site it should be excellent where I am, so I'd say it must not be online yet.

Thanks for the confirmation. It's odd that it showed up as a neighbor to the Lexington Site as well as several sites in the upstate. I'm going to temporarily remove it from the database listing until we can get some confirmation on its status.

I'm going to keep it active on my SDS100 and will check it periodically to see if anything pops up. I usually only use it when traveling, my SDS200 carries most of the listening at home.
