Hello all, I have been running Pro96com for a few days here in Saskatoon and I have found a few new talkgroups.

TGID 66, Radio ID's 2214244
TGID 6069, RID's 2263335, 2263341, 2269983, 2269986.
TGID 5143 ( The RIDs didn't show up in my files for some reason.)
TGID 6063, RIDs: 2261978

The RCMP DEU (TG 108) has been popping up all day here.

This is great news !
Please save your data logs and share them with us.

66 is RCMP , use is not known. TAC ?
6069 is Highway Transport Patrol Saskatoon
5143 Humboldt EMS TAC ?
6063 is unknown encrypted Sk.Gov. We need more data !
108 RCMP Saskatoon Integrated Drug Unit.

We need to get more Sask RR members running the Pro96com program.

I was messing around with Pro96com today and found the following Talkgroups I was unable to identify off the Regina SPHO Tower:

1. TGID: 305 RID: 2213405
2. TGID: 600 RID: 2313219

3. TGID: 6084 RID: 2261753
4. TGID: 6096 RID: 2261753

I captured the same RID (2261753) in 6057 which is listed as Testing - Prisoner Transport PCC or Prov. Court in the RR DB.

Anyone able to identify these or are they actually new? I think I will keep Pro96com running for the next week or so and see what it comes up with.

Thanks for the help.

305 May be one of those TWR Registration talkgroups.
600 would probably be one of those RCMP training academy TG's.
6084 would be one of those ENC Sask Gov. TG's, Probably another HTP Tac.
6096 Is probably the same as 6084, as the RID is the same.

I'll look in my logs and see if I can find those rid's.

Can someone look in their logs and try to find TG 66?
I've picked it up lately.

Thanks, Ryan.

Looks like the RIDs 2261750 to 2261755 are used by the Sheriff's Officers
TalkGroup is 6057. So TalkGroups 6084 and 6096 must be used by Justice and the Office of the Attorney General.

Is TG 66 Encrypted ? It is not listed in the RR data base.
Each of the 5 provincial RCMP zones have their own tactical TGs.
This TalkGroup is listed in my data base as:
66 RCMP Tactical Northern Zones use.
So Saskatoon RCMP maybe using it.

Used your Pro96com data: AffiliationLog/OtherEvents/ChannelGrants
Look at the RIDs and see what other TGs they are using then you will know who is using this TG.

I haven't heard it with my own ears, only saw it on my logs.
It's not showing up as ENC. Could it be the north sask. emergency situation talkgroup?

Also if you find any new towers or talkgroups and submit the info, give me an educated guess as to the tower's location, even if its just close, its a start for other people to try and narrow the search for the tower sites. Thanks again

Very useful logs data found

I had a look at Shlappy's Pro96com logs data he sent me.

The Unknown Packet log shows what looks to be an RCMP unit to unit
Text Message being sent. There are so called "canned message" sent at the push of a button to only the dispatch. This looks to be a so called "open
message" sent from RID 2215110 to an unknown RID that did not show up in the message so it did not get the text message.

Looks like they are playing with some new toys in Regina.

Thanks to Shlappy for the great data

Keep up the good work!

Looking through todays logs those unit to unit packets are back again and in the same time window 9am-10am.

I will make sure I pass my logs on again at the end of the day.

Thanks to the contributors....I have updated the database quite extensively, let me know of any errors, omissions or if you find out anything else new. I saw a tower near the Port of Northgate that appears to have the look of P25, didn't have my scanner going. If anyone is down in the SE, maybe take a spin down there, its only about a Mile NW of the Port of Northgate, I think that's Highway 9.

Hey bushman, I was starting to think you fell off the side of face of the earth ;)
I think you omitted TGID 5252 (Saskatoon tac?)
Does someone want to explain the Saskatoon Ems talkgroup patch, I've never seen it here.

Patches on my pants ?

Does someone want to explain the Saskatoon EMS patch.

All I know about this is that we must stop trying to put name tags on all these patches. A patch is used to bring together any 2 TalkGroups on the system. This system uses a total of 20 Patch TGs. They start at 2030 = #1 and end at 2050= #20. None of these patches are a assigned to specific agencies. There has also been some confusion about these patches. A patch is a patch it is not a SuperGroup.

SuperGroups are used to bring together more than 2 TalkGroups on the system.
These have been used on the system.

There is also no point in trying to put name tags on these. They should just be numbered in the DB. None of these SuperGroups and patches need to be loaded into a scanner for you to hear the patched users anyway.

Just in Manitoba for work so been busy, sorry for the delays, Mobile I'll play around with those patches when I get back. Great work on the new towers, there are still some voids, but that sure helped fill in some gaps.

Just who is using all these new encrypted TGs ?

We are seeing many new TalkGroups on the system and most of these are are encrypted. We know they are all Sask government users. So we will have to do some work to find what departments got new radios.

I started a search of Sk Gov and found these:

Paul Dojack Youth Centre (2010-11 CPSP annual report)
Base stations, transport van radios and portable radios which support the PPSTN. Radio system for 4 YO facilities and 3 community offices. Comprehensive training in the operation and handling of the radios was provided.

Highways and Infrastructure (2010-11 Sask budget summary)
$600,000.00 to purchase radios to access the new PPSTN.

Sask budget 2009-10
$310,000.00 for P25 radios to better coordinate government support for community emergency response.
