New Pro 2066 ... Can I do VHF Hi Trunking?

Hey there, our local EMS service is going VHF Hi trunked on fleetnet 142.000-145.000 and I just got a brand new (in box) pro2066 hoping it would do it.

Now that I re-read the description of it, it only trunks on 800 mhz doesn't it?

Can I mod it or do I have to toss it?

Yes the 2096 will do vhf, uhf ,800 and 900 mhz trunking. All you have to do is read the manual. Unlike the bc796/296 you can just enter the CC's instead of all of the frequencies.

My Mistake, i thought you were talking about 2096 please disregard. I'm starting to see different numbers in my 42 year life.

The 2066 will only trunk 800 mhz. I've had one for almost 10 years nowand it was one of the most versatile scanners i"ve owned. Use it as a base.
