After playing around with the Win96 software, I have my new Pro-2096 up and running now. After monitoring things for a few days, I do have some follow-up questions
if the members don't mind.

1) I've noticed that the Londonderry PD channel that I primarily
want to listen to (155.865 FM/Digital) comes in loud & clear with
a "DG" indicator on the screen, but at other times only shows
an "FM" indicator and I hear nothing but static/silence. I can't
figure out why it fluctuates back & forth like that. Any ideas or suggestions?

2) I have programmed the Manchester PD (EDACS) channels into it's
own bank using Win96, but the reception is quite spotty and has alot
of static. As I'm not too far from Manchester, I thought the
reception would be much better? On the other hand, the Nashua
channels seem to come in nice and clear. Any ideas or suggestions?

NOTE: I'm just using the telescoping antenna that came with the Pro-
2096 if that matters for the above questions. Any antenna recommendations would be more than welcome too.

Thanks very much!

Does your Win96 settings for Manchester look similar to the above?
Note: the first frequency entry is on line 01 not 0.

If you live around any NexTel towers, that could be a possible problem. Here in Manchester, the system seems to be plagued with interference from the numerous NexTel towers. Also, in the South End (S. Willow St.), the interference is so great that some units have trouble talking on the system with their portables. If you hear a lot of "clicking" during the transmissions...that's probably NexTel.
Also, keep in mind that the tower for the system is located at the top of Derryfield Park (Tower Hill), and doesn't have that much elevation.
