I am listening on a Uniden BCD996P2 with a DMR upgrade. I do not know if the slot is changing. Right now, I have the Clearview tower programmed in to an analog group to speed up scanning. It still comes through because I have the DMR upgrade. I'll switch it over to the DMR system I have programmed and hook it up to Proscan again to see what comes up.
Ok, I'll just put both slots in a scanlist

I would assume they are only using 1 slot. It's their own private system. I would guess that the other slot may be used for data when they MDT's in the squads.
According to the database Marshall is using both, dunno if thats accurate or not. But typically neigboring counties like doing the same thing. Dont know if thats same with Putnam/Marshall

Marshall County uses a slot for police/sheriff dispatch and another slot for EMS/fire paging. EMS and fire also page on analog and use analog for operations when they are on a call.

Also, both MCSD and PCSD dispatch have the ability to talk on each others DMR and analog systems. I know the squads can do the analog, not sure about digital.

Just realized I wrote that backwards. Meant talkgroups are simulcasted all towers.

The only talk group I've ever seen come over the Putnam County system is 2000. And again, Hennepin and Clearview. Was getting Fox Run a couple weeks ago, but not now. Never had anything over the Magnolia tower.

Yep. Had granville once on my SDS, never got it again. Got my XPR scanning Granville now, doubt I'll get it due to distance but doesn't hurt to try

Are any of the PDs planning on switching over?
Putnam County only has 16 officers in the county (that I've heard). The sheriff's department itself (PC 1 - 9), Granville/Standard PD (PC 11 & 12 (full time) & 13, 15, & 20 (part time)), McNabb PD (PC 30 / one part time officer), and PC 21, which is a security officer for Putnam County HS in Granville. All of them are on the UHF DMR freqs. Haven't heard if EMS or Fire are planning on switching. They are still on VHF analog for operations. EMS and Fire does have a patch to page on DMR, but as far as I know, all the pagers that are carried are analog VHF.

Oh ok, I wasn't aware everyone used PC as the identifiers I figured it was only PCSO. I doubt we'll ever see fire paging go to dmr because pager tones and DMR don't work out (as you've probably heard) and fire ops I could see fire going the SC21 route because a good amount of La Salle and a few Bureau departments are already on SC21 or are ready to switch.

I know this thread is a little older, but is anyone else monitoring PCSD lately? As I stated earlier in this thread, I just added one of the freqs in an analog group to monitor them. I noticed last week that my radio was hanging on their freq. When I looked closer, "CAP" was flashing on the display of my 996P2. Could this system be a Capacity Plus or something of that sort? If so, how can I accurately ID it using just my scanner?
