Anybody hear anything about any new scanners coming out? I've checked the website and see the same old ones.

No, check the other "when will RS have a new scanner" threads. When something is announced, you will NOT have to search for information. It will be obvious.

Remember that old song, "One step forward and two steps back"....?

Applies here.

C'mon, Radio Shack. Only a company that fires 400 employees by email thinks the consumers want a "new" scanner with less features.

I'm keeping my 96, though. You guys did something right.

Thanks all
Yeah bout the spacing etc features
I think Ratshack just wants to have Somewhat of future in scanner sales
Ya know on those that will/can Survive the rebanding process:roll:
Albiet BEARLY LOL

I would NOTecept ANYTHING innovative in the reciver areas until at LEAST two things happen:

Radioshack/GRE secures its future by staying there course of restructuring their size, purpose etc
And'

The USA sees the end of the rebanding which has bearly even started....

Uniden, Icom AOR, etc there majority consisst of reciver, ham media, enthusiasts etc.
Where as Radiosahck depnds on not evn one percento f us scanner lovers..
Mainl Cell phonse dvd plsyers, consumer Strictly products..
Even Ipods I have seen:roll:

YEah I used t LOVE Radioshcak's Products...
Bu now I am a Uniden.Icom.AOR etc Convert..
Once ya goo TOp o line ya never go back except for sentimental values...

anyhows
Love
to all

Oh and look life is too damn short for being SMArt to folks
If ya dont have an answer or are frustrated by a question then it's simpe I thinks

Can't Find Them

I checked the Radio Shack website and couldn't find the Pro-528 or Pro-433. Anybody know any sites I can find them at other than the one listed earlier? I know for a fact they don't have those 2 in the stores, well, at least in my area.

Those aren't new scanners, they are repackaged versions of older scanners. Nothing different operationally at all, no new features. Different name.

These are not the "wave of the future," that's for sure...

These were probably a "special purchase" (that means Uniden wanted to unload some spare parts...) and RS will blow them out for next-to-nothing on the day after Thanksgiving. They'll probably go to "clearance" status shortly thereafter and everyone will forget about them by Groundhog's Day.

Don't worry about it... ;)
