New radios to help improve reception

The Alexander City Police Department will receive 47 handheld police radios to replace their outdated units by the end of the month.

Always good to get new toys!

Must be one for every man, woman and child in that town.

Each officer is assigned a HT that they take home. 47 may (after many years of not) allow for "some" spares in case of "problems". As soon as my contacts (in other words family members) get their HT, I will let you'll know the "who, what, when and where" about the new toys.
Actually for "everybody to have one", they would have to admit how many persons live in the area (the city varies the population numbers depending on what areas are included and what season it is).
