Sullivan County is supposed to be re-banding soon...if it has not already begun. Last night I discovered a control channel on 794.5375 and a voice channel at 794.6625. From what I can gather, this activity is in Sullivan County but cannot yet confirm. I have been told that the re-banding was to occur at the lower end of 800mHz instead of 700mHz. Can anyone confirm what is going on here? I have been unable to turn up anything on the net or here on RR. The signal strength is not as strong as the original 800mHz system which is still up and running. Yes, I have searched quite a bit. I am new to trunking and trunk scanning for that matter, so forgive my ignorance!!

I don't think they are actually broadcasting in the 700mhz band. I have noticed the same thing on the Nashville TRS for years with my Pro-96. I am pretty sure it is the Pro-96.

If and when they reband, they would probably only drop down in frequency about a few MHZ or so. (one system in Florida went down as far as 15 MHz) This is what I have noticed on those that have rebanded. Some have went down to 700 but not many, that would take a new radio system. To drop the freqs down would not since it would most likely be in the capabilities of the existing units already in place.
