1) no system activity is missed; that's important for some of us some of the time
2) better prioritized voice/data following
That's my two cents.

Is anyone else having problems holding calls? Spacebar won't hold onto a talkgroup at all.
For monitoring several low traffic DMR (or others) I put the control channels in a scan list and it works very well to monitor a bunch of them with one dongle.
You can set up FMPA, FMPP or FMP24 to scan a mix of analog and digital voice channels. That's what the .ScanList files are for.Have I missed something. There is a scanning option in DSDPlus? I have only really been using this for 2-3 months but I have no seen a scanning option anywhere. Any info would be appreciated.

I add all my site control freqs so i can easily jump though and monitor which site i like with the network im monitoring.
The P25 protocol has embedded signaling which allows a single receiver to be following a voice channel and receive all the voice_grants and voice_updates concurrently. Prioritization/preemption is therefore possible with even a single receiver.1) no system activity is missed; that's important for some of us some of the time

Yeah, DSD+ trunk tracks more than P25 and most of those other trunking protocols don't carry grant or late entry data on traffic channels, as the bit rates simply don't support it.The P25 protocol has embedded signaling which allows a single receiver to be following a voice channel and receive all the voice_grants and voice_updates concurrently.
Yeah, DSD+ is doing that here right now on the local P25 PS site. I have fire dispatches preempting fire tac channels preempting ambulance chatter preempting housing cops preempting ...Prioritization/preemption is therefore possible with even a single receiver.
Non sequitur. If running scan lists, split the list and scan twice as many freq's or scan the current list twice as fast. For one thing...
yes any further info on this would be great.Has anyone had any luck with having the FMP24 running at a remote location and using DSD on the local computer
any help on how to set up the IP address and tcp links on both ends would be greatly appreciated
Dave
Should work exactly the same. Might have to deal with port forwarding on the router at the FMPx end.
