We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Just letting the people in the Springfield area know that the radio shack in W. Springfield (Riverdale Plaza) has a 2096 on sale for $300. They also have a 2052 for $90. They look to be the display radios, but for $300 and $90 who cares.... they're new! The place is emptying out quick, most of the radio accessories are gone. I was able to get a few coax adapters for 69 cents instead if $2.69, 10 feet of rg-58u with connectors for $5 ... don't think it was much of a deal, and a 100 watt soldering iron for $6.
