New Scanner advice - Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Waterloo?

Hi! I am looking to buy a new scanner. I live in Waterloo and travel to Cedar Rapids alot. Am looking for a scanner that I can listen to Waterloo, Cedar Rapids and Des Moines police. Any advice? Would the Bearcat BCT15x work? Thanks for the help!

PS - I currently use a Uniden BC346 handheld. Not sure if that would work in CR.

You will need a digital scanner for CR . I use a Radio Shack pro106 handheld with good results. The bct15x will NOT do CR.

I use a Uniden BCD396T in CR daily and have no issues receiving the CRPD

Thanks! I will check that model out too. The Home Patrol sparked my interest in listening to CR when i am ion town. Kind of pricey though

I use a GRE 800.

Travel all the time to all the area's you mentioned and NEVER have a problem..............today alone I was in CR and Iowa City listening to BOTH systems at the same time as well as Iowa DPS
