I am totally new to the scanner world. I got a PRO-528 for christmas, and have been playing with it and can't seem to understand anything. I wanted this so I can listen to the local Sunnyside Police, State Patrol, Fire Dept. , I can't seem to find any frequency for them. I have heard that they can have up to 5 different frequency's, is this true?
Can anyone help me out so I can understand this scanner before I get fed up and end up returning it... Any help would be greatly appricated!

Thanks

Thanks so much Mick for giving me some information... You stated Eligibility: 90.19A. What does this mean? I have been reading the manual so I can store the known frequencies into channels but I keep on getting a error.

Ok thanks so much! Like I said I'm totally new to this. I can't seem to program the frequency that Mick gave me into my scanner. Everytime I read the directions in the manual on how to do it, it comes back with an error.

Thank you all so much for all the help, Last night I was listening to the local police... One last question for now, I have about 6 different freq. that the local police use; if I have them all programmed into Bank 1, can I just leave it on scan will it scan Bank 1 and when there is info. it will go to the freq? Hope I'm making sense!

If you want a decent frequency list for that area, stop by Ted's Auto Parts in Toppenish.

They have a regular update done so it is pretty accurate. The last one I got from my dad was from October 2006.

They cost a little over 3 bucks with tax, but comes in handy for the occasional visitor or the person that lives in the area.

Thanks so much scootz! I'm going to head down to Toppenish soon to pick up that list! Do I just ask the front counter for the updated frequency list?
