new scanner

Iam looking to upgrade my pro2045 to a new digital scanner.any recommendations on a model or brand ?

I have PRO-96 and BC-796. I have programmed a BC-296 for the TV station. I have programmed 2096 for customer. Since you may want to use scanner in car then PRO-96 can go anywhere. The BC-296 is kind of "dorky" for a portable scanner. The 796 is much harder to program than the 2096. With the 2096 you can turn off any bank at any time. You cant do that with the 296 or 796. Banks cant be turned off if scanner is in the trunking mode. I do plan to get a 2096 for my office and just PGM it for 800 only. We have several systems in my area. Pal 800, Duke Power, Bob Jones Univ, Motorola 1 and 2, Pickens Co Schools, BMW Mfg, Bellsouth. With the 2096 I will use a BC-780 in my office. Will move my 796 to dash of my pickup. In my truck I dont fool with scanner. PGM it one way and leave it. Cant drive 70mph and PGM radio at same time. Good Luck
