New Scanner

Looks like there could be a new scanner under the tree this Christmas.

So I need some help to decide what I should purchase. Seems I should get the latest that cover today needs and what the future will bring. Also I would like to get it pre programed for trunking in my area so that part will not have to be done my me, as my skills are limited in that regards.

Should I buy in Canada or the USA is also another consideration and help in that area would be helpful .

Your profile says you're in New Brunswick. What part of the province are you in? Only certain parts of NB have any public safety trunking systems at present.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm in Saint John and as I mentioned looking ahead is the PSR 600 a good scanner to purchase today for what maybe be coming up in later years in types of transmissions. As well is the ARC 500 Pro the correct Softwear to purchase as well?
