New scanner

I have a Radio Shack Pro 404 scanner and I am planning to upgrade sometime in the future.What scanner do you all recommend.Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Depends on your area and how much is your wallet to spend to be really honest with you. You will need a digital type scanner like the GRE PSR800 handheld radio, Uniden BCD396XT or the 996XT by Uniden so you can listen to the Palmetto P25 system and the military base.
