I have upgraded from bct7 to a bct15, I would like to know what i need to do to set up this scanner and how to download new freq.to this scanner.

Install FreeSCAN, and you can download some or all the frequencies from you County and State(which you should tell us about). You may need a USB cable to send the programmed data to the scanner.

You're not alone. There are a lot of folks that buy the DMA radios and don't know where to start.

Don't worry - we've got you covered. We have an article in our wiki with links (anything that's blue) to everything you need - glossary, explanation of trunking, links to software, and most importantly the link to the Easier to Read website. Here's the article link;

I would in fact, start with downloading the Easier to Read manual for the BCT15. Don't bother with the Uniden mess.
