New Site Calcasieu Parish Area

Started picking up a new site in the Calcasieu parish area for the past week or so. The CC is 769.46875. It happens to be the same active CC as the Acadia site. I find it odd that the cc is the same as the Acadia site since they are so close together unless they changed that sites CC.
Normally sites that use the same cc are much further apart. We are only talking maybe 30-40 miles apart. I was able to monitor the Acadia site, however with this new site online I no longer can pick it up.

I am in the process of trying to figure out what the site # is. Once I do I will post it. It seems all the traffic on the site is all south of I-10 from Jeff Davis, Cameron and some of Calcasieu for the most part.

It will find new sites within seconds. More useful for this type of thing than any radio.

I am in the process of trying to figure out what the site # is.

What scanner are you using? It should display the site number somewhere. Also helpful for confirming that this is indeed a new site and not just another site's alternate CC, etc..

I am using the TRx-1 myself. I would have to go update my radio with the database.

Not sure where you obtained the first frequency, but on my neighboring site page I'm showing site 4-033 with a ctrl of 854.275 and it is licensed in Bell City. Site 4-034 shows a control channel of 772.16875 and it is licensed in Starks.

I programmed the two CC's you listed. I am picking up site 4-033 Bell City 854.275 with very little traffic, only a couple transmissions in the past 3 hours or so. However I am not able to pickup site 4-034 Starks 772.16875. Is this site live?

Actually I was able to pick up the Starks site late last night. I guess the reception is not that great at my location. No problem with reception from the Bell City site.
