After many decades of using soldering irons that plug directly into the AC outlet (Weller was my favorite) I finally decided to purchase a soldering station. It was bought to restore an 80's shortwave radio. I needed something with a pinpoint tip for replacing a few dozen condensers and an iron that was lightweight and easy to manipulate. After window shopping on YouTube (God bless it) I decided on the one attached. Amazon came to the rescue and it was ordered and delivered quickly (God bless Amazon too). Having a one-stop soldering station made the job so much easier. And, with all the different solders available today you can adjust the temperature to the situation. It's indeed a good time to be living hihi.
