To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I have a 2014 CanAm Spyder with factory radio and cb. I just installed an amp and higher power speakers. The radio is great but now when I key the mike I get feed back sound coming from the speakers.

I tried turning the radio right down to off (its never really off as it also runs the com) but no luck.

This proprietary CB came off of my last Spyder and when first installed I had one helmet that need chokes to cut the same thing. This time chokes do not work on headset so not sure how to isolate the problem. It gets worse when I move toward the speakers but I am surrounded by them so no solution there.

Any help is appreciated

The something happens with my Class C RV.
I have the CB on a fender mount because the rest is fiberglass.

That antenna is close to the AM/FM antenna and overpowers
the AM/FM when I transmit. Too much trouble to move the AM/FM
antenna so I live with it.

You CB transmission is entering the new system you installed.
Possibility shielded speaker wire will help, maybe the amp needs to be shielded
from the CB coax and antenna. A lot of audio amps and speaker/wires are not well
shielded from the factory.

Hope you find an easy solution.

RF from the antenna is getting into the either the input of the amplifier or the speaker leads.
Oldme has the answer - shorten and screen (and bond the screens to chassis via the shortest path) all inputs and outputs of your amplifier.
Another option is a relay from the mike key to disconnect the speakers.

The leads are as short as possible not but none are shielded. Can I try chokes on the lines? Is it more likely to be on the radio to amp side or amp to radio side or both? I can change the wiring to coax abut it has to handle a lot of amps (best guess 25 per pair).

Thanks for the help, I will keep you informed of the progress.
