does anyone know or hear if they have any active analog talkgroups? When the system came on line a month or so ago, I heard encrypted only!! And I also dont hear the control channel from western nassau county,ny. Did they lower their power??

The only talkgroups that are not encrypted are for the non-puplic safety such as Housing Auth. Signs, Garbage, etc. As for reception, I know that they had a problem with the site in Greenwich that was causing interference with the Greenwich system. That was shut down but I am not sure if the problems were every fixed. Tom at ScanCT.com usually has the up to date information.

They don't run analog. Its an all digital system, they do have some non encrypted talk groups but very few.
The grenwich site was down for less than a day, it has been fixed and sounds great.
