Hi Folks.

We have a new P25 System coming up. This one will be a Phase II system (TDMA) belonging to the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community, to be used for Public Safety.

From Chandler, I am picking up Site 102 of System 0663 with a WACN of BEE00.

The control channels are:

773.95625 (currently active)
774.20625 (alternate)

Inspecting the just recently approved FCC License for this system (WQTG493), this could be any one of the following sites:
Shea / Beeline Highway
Saddleback
Granite Reef
Talking Stick Resort

At this point, there are no neighboring sites connected to this site. So far I've heard a 3 or so transmissions on both time slots on TG 1 but the audio was garbled.

Please use this thread to add what you learn but keep it on this topic. If you need to talk about something else, please start a different thread. Thanks.

Don't know when the new system will go live.

This looks to be quite an advanced (and expensive) system. From the FCC license, it looks like it will be a 4 site simulcast and one other site.

Simulcast site will have transmitters located:
Red Mountain (Hwy 87 and E. Shea Blvd), Fort McDowell
Saddleback, 10190 E. McKellips Rd, Scottsdale
Granite Reef Dam, E. Fort McDowell Rd & Central Arizona Project Csr, Fort McDowell
Talking Stick Resort, 9800 E. Indian Bend Rd., Scottsdale
Freqs for the Simulcast Site.
773.92625
774.20625
774.45625
774.70625

The other site will be Thompson Peak
774.40625
774.66875
774.91875

The Thompson Peak site might be an “Overlay” similar to the High Sites of the RWC, or maybe a backup site.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (BREW; Opera Mini/6.0.3/27.2354; U; en) Presto/2.8.119 320X240 LG VN530)

With 3 of the simulcast sites in the Ft McDowell community and 2 in Scottsdale, is this a Salt River Pima/Maricopa Indian Community system, a Ft McDowell Yavapai Apache Community system, or a combined community system for both reservations?

I haven't heard anything on this system since my initial report of it here. They have not brought up the Thompson PK site yet.

However, you have it programmed incorrectly. It is not an X2 system. Program it as a P25 system and it will correctly detect it as a P25 Phase II system.

Cool, I'll go fix that now. Good to know, thanks!

Edit: OK, that's interesting. You can't change it once you create the system apparently. Weird. Anywhoo, I'll have to delete that one and create a new one. I'll do that from home so I can use Sentinel to make it look all pretty and such. ;)

So that explains why their slot machines gobbled up $40 of my money in about 30 seconds last time I went to the casino... lol I used to be able to make $20 last for hours in there. Not so much anymore.

It took 30 seconds for the slots to gobble your money? I'm lucky if I still have any 20 seconds later. Hahaha

Yeah. The crazy thing about it was that it was a nickel slot too. That's why I tried playing it - I'd rather play for a few hours on nickel slots than feed a dollar machine all my money in a minute or less (I only gamble $20, period). Trouble was, the way the machine was set up, the minimum you could play at one time was a dollar. So in reality, it was a dollar slot. 30 seconds later, the $20 was gone and so was I - after a stop by the smoke shop of course for a carton of smokes. ;)

Oh man, I hate when that happens. I was once in Vegas for a couple of hours and was on my way out of the Mirage. I had, like, two seconds to spend playing a slot machine and that's all it took. I only ever play with $20, too, and I prefer video blackjack so I found a machine, put my money in, and hit "bet max credits". Guess what max credits was on that machine? Yup. $20 worth. AAAAAAAAAAGH! That was probably the fastest I've ever lost $20. hahaha

Yeah but imagine the payout if you had won. ;) That's how they get us, LOL.

Anyway we're drifting off the subject... I deleted the old system I created and put in a new one as P25 Trunk, but still no traffic on it. I guess it's too early for that yet. Thanks for the heads up on this system, p19997. I'll keep it in the scan rotation and update this thread with whatever I hear.

Ain't THAT the truth! On both counts. hahaha

Yeah, oops! Anyway, I'm still picking up regular traffic on the current frequencies so I don't think they're using the new one yet. I'm confused about the type of system this is. Is it Phase II meaning you need the PSR-800 or the X36 scanner? I hope not since I don't have a compatible scanner (yet) and since I work on the Salt River/Maricopa Reservation it's beneficial to be able to hear what's going on.

Here's more information on this system. It is a Motorola ASTRO 7.13 Public Safety 700 MHz P25 Phase 2 TDMA multi-zone simulcast trunked radio communications system that will replace the current voice and data systems for Police, Fire, and the Department of Corrections.

If your playing with that kinda money you need to stick to the penny slots at CAZ or TSR. :)

Hahaha. Then it might last 45 seconds, huh? I don't really care for Indian Gaming Casinos, though, because they tend to not have any video blackjack machines. I finally found some at TSR, but the minimum bet was $1.00, I think, and that sucked up my money too quickly.
